Temperature sensativity

Does anyone else have sensativity to temperature. I seem to be having trouble with this warm weather. Don't know what  I'm  gonna do when it gets hot. Also does anyone have problems when standing in one place too long I noticed when I stand at the sink to shave or do dishes my legs start to itch and burn. Sorry if these questions have already been asked.

Never thought that Chiari could be the reason for being so HOT.  I am warm even in the winter.  I live in Phoenix, AZ and summers are really bad.  However, when it does get really cold, my whole body hurts even thou I feel warm enough.  Should I call and ask my NS about this?  Summer is on its way and I am already feeling ill and very lazy and all the other stuff.  Thanks.    PS  What is POTS

Hi Mike,

I have the same problems as well... I am heat intolerant..  I also have POTS, which is what the neuro said is most likely the reason for the extreme heat intolerance... My heart races horribly, I get tingly in my extremeties, very shaky, nauseous, and so on... Also when it is very cold I get horrible pains in my joints and stiffness...

No. Have appt with Ob next month. She said no last time I asked. Pretty sure I have Hashi's too. Convinced PCP  to do antibodies but stubbornly she didn't do them all. I do have ANTI antibodies though. Have appt with endocrine next week. We will se what his thought are on Hashi's. may take some time to find the right doc for that too. Don't think I have EDS but will try to get someone to rule that out too. Still trying to find doctor willing to explore cause for joint sin etc. I'm a mess lol

Sorry mike for talking about girly stuff in ur post ;)

Have u checked to see if u may be in peri menopause? I went in around ur age, so something to look at.....I was not DX'd with Chiari, TCS, EDS or Hashimoto's....so no one had an idea I went Dr to Dr trying to figure it out starting around age 34....36 ish....by 40 I was done getting a monthly....

After I got my DX my Drs  r assuming as there is no way to go back to check but it may have been the Hashimoto's thyroid condition I have that contributed to the early onset...

my issue is with the cold, and drastic changes to temps.....with the cold I hurt...all my joints....and with change in weather I have HA's and very fatigued.

Once the nice weather is here and steady temps I am fine....as long as it is not cold...that means air cond...as it can be too much for me too.

I'm miserable in heat. All symptoms seem to magnify plus I have hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) of just my head and face. It makes me hate "nice" weather.

Hi...many of us do have issues with the temps....it can be for a number of different reasons....POTS, a syrinx, tethered cord, EDS or ur body readjusting post op.

It may take time, and we have to be patient, but always tell ur Dr about nething that is new symptom wise.

Never apologize for asking a question....if u have concerns please ask : )
