I figured all here would appriciate this! My husband came home from school yesterday and told me about a conversaton between him and a fellow student in his class. The student is a  Massage Therapist and was tell ing him about how he saw the CSI episode with the Chiari. He didn't know anything about it and decided to research it after seeing the episode.

I thought to myself...WOO HOO! Even if it just sparked one persons interest....maybe there is more. Now he knows about Chiari and he may be able to help someone else understand.

Just a small brite light to my day that I figured I would share!

Yeah and so many drs want to rx it to us....I was given prozac yrs ago too....I was told by the nurse at TCI not to take ne  diet meds..as it would add to the pressure....not sure how , or y, but my PCP wanted to speed up my weight loss..( no pun intended) and I wanted to wait and ask at TCI and I am glad I did...I just do not remember the verbage as to y.

I finally got to see the CSI episode (kept saying if was out of my geographical area but I found a link that worked through FB). Anyway, what really struck me is that they said that MAO Inhibitors (antidepressants) compounded the problem with having Chiari...very interesting... I personally have used Prozac in the past which is an SSRI but I am wondering if it is the same effect. I guess I will have to do some research!

Hi...yeah we had a link to the episode on here as a thread for everyone to see....and there is an upcoming HOUSE that will feature chiari as well....we r getting out there with more visibility than b4.

It is great that now all those around us that say what is wrong with u say....oh I had no idea....lol....
