Dr. Bejjani

Im going to a dr. bejjani for low lying tonsils and chiari symptoms. we don't know if its a leak or chiari. I read he does cine mri. I had a baby 3 years ago with an epidural and was fine besides tiredness a lot. Had to drink coffee or would get extremely tired. Then I had a miscarriage, then shortly after my daughter I had a spinal epidural with a spinal fluid leak. That's when it all started! I had 2 blood patches first one worked second one didn't.

almost a year later im getting these headaches with neck pain and extreme fatigue despite being on medicine for it. Out of it, sedated feeling. Not feeling myself, can't do too much activity without upper back hurting. Tinnitus in my left ear, sinus infections, hyper thyroid and adrenal insufficiency. Prior to this I was perfectly healthy.

My insurance doesn't cover him, but I can't work because I can't get a dr. to understand im in pain! and not feeling well. They think its because I have two new babies, but I worked with my son and was fine. I can't stand for awhile or my heart palpatations get horrible and I feel I will pass out and have once passed out after doing too much activitiy.

Can someone tell me if hes a good dr. Is there any type of medical help I can get for this. My husband has a job

  Keep in mind it is very possible this is congenital and the leak just triggered the symptoms....until a specialist sees you it is difficult to know...plus, depending on symptoms and if you may have a CSF obstruction treatment is the same.

thanks o much I really think that's what happened : ( as ive talked to a bunch of moms that have had spinal leaks and they don't have what I have. I will let everyone know and am so blessed to have this website as I knew nothing about this and its scary but been praying

  Hi.,...several of our members have had surgery with Dr Bejjani in Pittsburg.....it is very possible the leak you have caused your tonsils to be pulled down and it is not Chiari but acquired Chiari or low lying tonsils the only difference if it is acquired is that your skull is not malformed...the symptoms and surgery to help is the same....
