Glad to hear from you ! Wow..I thought my surgery went long....but you had 2 surgeries one after the other.....good thing Dr B is as thorough as he is...he was in the OR for my surgery too....just not my surgeon.....it was comforting to know he was there.
Happy to hear you are doing well...hope you had a Merry Christmas and I pray for a Happy and Healthy New year with a smooth recovery <3
Hello everyone ,thank you so much for all your prayers,I am sure that God hAs listen to them, this by far has been one of the most difficult and painful surgery ever...never di it even cross my mind I would go into surgery on a wends. And come out on Thursday never heard of such a thing..?but luckily Dr B is such a good NS and quick thinking one, he had explained to my husband and I that he does not give updates durning surgery because it is a long surgery to begin with and he does not like to breaks his concentration, wich was fine with us, he said that surgery should be over by 10pm that night, but then my husband Chris and oldest daughter said they did not see him till 11:30 pm.he just kept saying that rthe catscans showed everything to be ok but when he treys to wake me a little my right side of the face was paralyzingly and the tonge as completely numb and had fallen to the side of my mouth...I do remember him saying to me we need to do another surgery ,,and I remember say Oh Please God no ,and telling him just do what you need to NS get it over with!!! The 2sd surgery took another 41/2 hr in totale I was under anastigia for 15 1/2 hrs never heard of surgery starting one day ending the following day... Course it would happen to me !!! Lol, very difficult first 7 days but it has been better since!! Now hopefully it will be a much easier of the process in the next few monthes
Sending continued prayers for a smooth recovery...thanks for the update....and sending wishes for a wonderful Christmas !!
I've been hoping for an update. Glad all went well and I look forward to hearing from her. :)
Thank you for the update. Will be keeping her in my thoughts and prayers
Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Stay strong...
Hi Chris,
Thank you so much for taking the time (in the middle of all that you have to think about) to tell us about Nella. I keep in touch with her frequently on this forum and I have had her on my mind the past few days. I really feel for you and your daughter. At my surgery (Dr. B - 7/29/14), my husband was crazy scared, and I did not have the complication that Nella had. You must be emotionally and physically exhausted. I will pray for comfort for your family. Tell Nella I will continue to think about her and I am glad her surgery is over.
