I havent had surgery yet so I cant personally answer this only tell you what I have read. Was your NS a CM specialist? Brain slump is possible if too much bone is removed during the decompression. There could be other things going on if pain is worse. Selma is going to the one to really sound off on this.
If I were having more pain than before the surgery and knew my brain was slumping I would probably send my scans to someone for a second opinion. I dont think a NS is going to tell you that "wait a minute I think I messed up". Does he have anyone covering for him while he is out speaking? Maybe you should call them and go in to rule out any complications. I hope this at least helps.
Please keep us posted!

Hi...I believe this is one of the causes I said could be behind ur HA's u r having, along with doing too much too soon.
Brain slump or cerebral ptosis is like Pam said when u have too much bone chipped or shaved away allowing the brain to fall onto the brain stem. This will cause another CSF obstruction and compression of the brain stem.
There is a surgery to correct this....the NS that caused this, most likely will not admit this....so do find another chiari dr for another opinion and treatment.....and allow urself to heal....u will need it.
