loss of taste for food

Ok this may be an off the wall question but has anyone else ever experienced loss of taste for food?

my husband has brought to my attention that i have been losing my taste for foods over the last few weeks. my favorite foods even do not taste good anymore, food i enjoyed there is no longer an enjoyment. I take a few bites and realize it and then i wont eat anymore. its just weird. ( it not like i havent noticed this before, its just making him more concerned so i had to ask)

thanks ~ Lisa

after my first surgery, there was a lot of food i used to love that i couldn't eat....after a few months, it all tasted good again!

Yes, I've noticed this for the last few months. Nothing really has vibrant taste anymore. Even fresh fish, my favorite food, I could take it or leave it as I really don't taste it anymore. We have been wondering if this could be a symptom of what's going on in my head.

Lisa,

I have noticed that, now that you mention it. Didn't give it much thought, but I used to love certain coffee blends that I can not even stand the smell of now. Thankfully I am persistent and found another that I like, lol.

Hi Lisa,

I have noticed this as well.....I thought I was tired of the items....but, I have lost interest in things or foods I really liked b4.

I tend to stay away from beef...which was always a favorite of mine.....hmmmmmm
U pose a very good and thoughtful question........
