Hi....well, I am not going to say it is easy, but....u have to look at the bigger picture....God only gives us what we can handle....this will make u stronger....and it may be for some unseen reason we need this strength.
When u r having a bad day, if u can rest....stay in bed.....it can be the result of what u did the day b4, so look at yesterday...mayb u did too much in one day...so if u cut back, u may not have another day like this.....
When I have a bad day, I like to curl up with a good old movie...one they play on Turner Classics....Roman Holiday, Mildred Pierce, 12 Angry Men....Stage Door my fav!!
I keep the room on the darker side and I just relax.....sometimes a good warm soak b4 can help too.
Hang in there : )

I wish God would shout down from heaven and tell me what to do:(
Having a terrible day. How do I stay positive on days like this?
Hi...I do not get this as often as I did b4 surgery, but I said it felt as though someone was jabbing an ice pick into my ear....I still have ear aches....but nothing like b4.
I know what u mean....it did seem to be weather related as I needed to cover my ears on a windy day or would have this issue......

I'm going to ask my chiari specialist about Diamox. I'm not sure about spelling. I heard it may help with pressure, but nervous about adding meds. The big dilema, meds or surgery?
I get those also...behind my ear, above my ear, but hardly ever inside my ear. The only thing inside my ear is the 24/7 ringing. I must say that Neurontin at a higher dose has helped the sharp pains. I hate to admit that, because I hate taking meds, but it has helped tremendously.
I do have these pains on again off again other parts of my head and face, but the sharp ear pain is so bad. My front teeth have been throbbing for three weeks, so I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the ears. I'm trying hard not to blame everything on Chiari, but I never had these problems before, so I'm suspicious.
A question since mentioning the cold. I live in the UP and when fall and winter come, I have a lot of trouble using my shoulders and arms. It happens on one side at a time and lasts until warm weather comes. It's only September, and I can feel it coming on in my R shoulder. When I say I can't use the arm, I can't put my jacket on myself , use that arm to turn the steering wheel, transfer laundry into dryer, etc... This is why I finally went to doctor and my GP ordered MRI. Chiari showed it's ugly face. But, I'm still wondering if this is a symptom, because it comes and goes according to weather.
This morning I feel like I'm in an airplane. If I keep trying to get the pressure out of my head I might squeeze my brains out my ears, then I won't have to worry about Chiari:)
I get weird feelings in my ears that at times send shivers down my spine. And any time a cold front moves in all my symptoms are intensified And cold fronts usually mean storms. With the dang huricane back to back the past few weeks all the after effects seem to be pushing in storm font after front. And it has been bad here. I hope u feel better. (ps. I blame everything on chiari. Lol. )
I get zinging and sharp pains in my head and face--ears, chin/jaw line, cheek. I have just assumed it's chiari.
