surgery date

I finally have a date. November 4th at 8:45 I will be having a suboccipital crainiotomy with c-1 laminectomy and duraplasty using pericranium tissue (hopefully). Of course today is my bday so I really wish they would have waited to give me the news tomorrow.

Hey I just had this surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago. Except my doctor performed the duraplasty with my own fascia from my left leg. He said that he thinks this works better since it is from your own body and it decreases your body rejecting it. Otherwise, I am doing good. I was able to drive just 2 weeks after surgery. Just remember to take it easy after surgery. I am a nurse and thought that I was superwoman. I still get tired after going all day. The worst part of the surgery is the muscle pain in your neck.
