tai chi

There is a tai chi class starting tomorrow at the high school almost next door. I was wondering if it is an activity I should consider taking. I use to do tea kwon do for years but I had to stop due to pain and extrem fatigue many years ago. My husband and children are doing some still, and well I feel lazy. I feel I need to do something to get out of the house.

So I was wondering if tai chi is gentele enouf or I have to look for something else that would not make my Chiari worst?

I just had me first leson. The instructor is very understanding. She says she will help me adapt the movements to make sure I dont hurt myself. She know of Chiari and is understanding. I'm going to go again next week on thursday. I'm happy our group is small and I can have a one on one learning experience.

Hi...I would talk to who is in charge and ask if u can pay per class to see how it goes for u....and try it...u should avoid lifting ur arms over ur head or above shoulder height...

I also would suggest no bending...I am not familiar with this method and if it has positions or movements that r diff for u if u can do others in place of them...but speak with whom ever is in charge to see if they will work with u.

Good luck and do post an update
