12 year old snuck out, no remorse!!

Any suggestions for my son whom snuck out of his window at 10 p.m and came back at 7:00 a.m.? Oh that kid! I am finding a counselor, and I took away his phone, ipod, computer, t.v. He's grounded forever and I took off his doors because he can't handle this. This is the first time this has happened and I think it should be worse!

You took the doors off his bedroom I think that is a little much. Grounding him forever is not going to help he will just find a way to get out.I agree with the other poster on some levels you need to find out what made him sneek out in the first place. I can remember doing the same thing but I was around 14.

Do you know where he went and what he did? I think you need to start with his motive for sneaking out. Were there other kids with him? Do you know his friends and their parents? Maybe you could have a talk with them if their kids are involved. Hopefully there's no vandalism involved because that would be a costly problem as well as a psychological problem for you to handle.
