20 month old boy behavior

My son is 20 months old. Im his mother. I was diagnosed with bi polar 7 years ago. And im afraid my son has similar symptoms as i did when i was younger. He punches doors when hes upset. He doesnt listen even after discpline some of the time. Majority of the time hes an awesome little boy. But when he gets in his tantrums they are extreme. I have bi polar rapid cycle. And in afraid i passed this down to him but i didnt find out i had until i was 15. I dont want to go another 13 years not knowing if hes going through the same thing i was/am going thru. Now that im older i learned to control alot more and calm myself down. But it just seems that he is showin beginnin signs of behavior ssues. Or am i just worrying too much and its just his terrible twos kickin in? Please any suggestions would help.

He is too young to know about the presence of Bipolar Disorder. Is he at risk? Yes. Why? because of the positive family history. He needs no mental health assistance now. However, you clearly need some help managing his behavior. Look carefully at Lynn Clark's book SOS help for Parents and follow his instructions to a 'T'. See sosprograms.com.

He went thru the hittin stage a few months ago lasted bout 2 months and stopped. But back then when i told him to stop he did. And now since all these other behaviors happened he hits again and jumps
