4 y/o drawing pictures

Hi everyone.  My 4 year old daughter has recently starting drawing pictures of "flowers that suck blood" out of people.  The last one she drew showed our family of 4, with our faced "blacked" out (with a crayon), and I asked her to tell me about her drawing.  She said that we (our family) wanted to go to the ocean, and the mean flower didn't want us to go, so it started sucking the blood out of us.  In her picture, the flower is huge and looms over our family, with lines that connect us to the flower (as it's sucking out our blood).  My daughter is a happy child; at home we watch the PBS cartoons (we don't watch violent movies or shows - mostly while the kids are awake, the TV is on PBS for kids 24 hour channel).  She attends daycare all day so I dont know what the people talk about there or what goes on.  I'm concerned about these pictures, although my husband thinks I'm over-reacting.  Anyone else have similar experiences?  I also mentioned it to her doctor, and he didn't seem to think it was anything to be concerned about.  Thanks in advance.

Absolutely.... you are right, on TV nowadays we see so much of this stuff, I dont think it is good for young children and it may be a good idea to ask the day carers not to discuss this kind of thing around children Blood sucking can be a scary topic for a child to hear ...

There are older kids at the daycare center she attends.  And the young female teachers there enjoy the "Twilight" series - so my husband thinks maybe she hears them talking about the movies and that's how our daughter came up with the idea of a blood-sucking flower.
