7yr old with worrying thoughts

My 7 yr old daughter has been ill with two bad bouts of pharyngitis/tonsilitisin the space of a month, her tonsils are still swollen, but no longer hurt.
However during this she became sensitive and unsettled when seperating from us and  started having what she calls funny feelings in her brain such as, that someone is going to take her, that her finger might fall off, that she might choke on something, it goes on.
She is seeking reassurance about every niggle and pain and is very upset and anxious as she says she can't stop this it just comes to her.  When she is distracted and enjoying an activity she is perfevtly normal in herself. Could this be related to the tonsil problems and what do you reccommend? Otherwise she is doing very well at school and is usually happy and full of fun

Sounds like she has heard a lot of talk about hospitals and medical procedures, removing tonsils, perhaps she has over heard you all discussing it, I suggest let it drop, make no further issue , it is causing her anxiety .
