I wonder if you had encopresis,  which is where fecal material becomes impacted and the colon gets stretched and feces moves around the impaction.  The child with encopresis can't control when the leakage occurs,  and it looks like the child isn't toilet trained.   There are parents who think their children aren't toilet trained who have this,  and it's really involuntary leakage.

Do you have a parent still living that you could ask?  Children who have encopresis also often have clumsier physical skills,  a history of chronic constipation,  and a limited diet of food they like to eat.

Okay, read your other post.  You are talking about you.  I'd say that you were severely constipated and that is why you were hospitalized.  My own son had a bowel blockage due to stool and constipation.  We too went to the hospital and had an enema (among other things).

I'm not sure why your parents didn't try to potty train you until 9 or if they tried and it didn't work.  You may have had trouble with the concept of potty training and weren't ready emotionally or intellectually until then.

But you are an adult now, so this is good.  Hopefully you have worked out a good life for yourself.  Peace

I'm not sure I  understand the question.  Everyone has bowel movements as it is a bodily function---------  learning disabled or otherwise.  Are you having trouble potty training your child??

Some kids just have a hard time getting potty trained and number 2 is especially hard.  Making sure a child isn't constipated is important to make it go well.
Sometimes a cihld with some type of delay may have more trouble potty training or recognizing the signals to go, but not always.

So, ha.  don't really know what your question is but took a stab at answering.  good luck
