I once saw on Mystery Diagnosis that this baby kept gazing upward and his eyes seem to be fixed in this position. They diagnosed him with the neuropathy of his ocular anatomy in which the eye balls can not control movement. Think they called it paraoxymal Tonic Upgaze. Your child may not have this deficit but it's worth looking to because abnormal ocular movement may be indicative of other problems. Doctors like totell us not to worry when they have no clue on a diagnosis.
Exam was fine. 20/20 vision and muscles are great. Doc said not to worry unless gets worse. Told me to ignored it. Should go away.
yes thats what I would suggest you do, we also have an eye care forum here on Med help for extra help, let us know what the diagnosis is ..good luck
No they last only a split second. Usually is one eye at a time and rolls to the outer corner. His personality has not changed and behaves normally. He is not aware he is doing it and says his eyes feel fine. We are going to the eye doc today...
in what respect...is he staring at you ?
