son is being bully at school and he's afraid of anything

my son is seven years old. He is afraid of everything kids punk him and he won't stand up for himself. Recently he came from school and he told me that this kid in his class told a very scary story that made him cry. He said, that the kid who told the story threat him that if he told someone he was going to tell him more scary stories. I recently called the teacher vice principle and told them what is going on at that school.help what to do. alexis

     Good for you for calling the schools.  Bullying for any reason should not go on or be allowed.  And, there are laws that insist that schools won't allow that.

Hi Alexis.  This sounds like a self-esteem issue.  I think that discussing these situations with the school is the best thing.  If there are self esteem issues, you may want your son to be counseled by the school counselor, psychologist, or social worker.  Or, perhaps you can seek private counseling independent of the school.
