My 5 year old daughter, who has been pretty much accident free during waking hours since she was 2 years old, has been consistently peeing her pants while at day care. Nothing I try seems to work. I have been working with developmentally disabled children for many years, and have been successful with many things with other children. But for her, every time I try something, she thwarts me with an 'I don't care' attitude. I am at a loss for what to do. She will be starting kindergarten in a few weeks, and worry that she is behind. That, and she stinks all the time, on account of trying to hide it from her teachers. She will just sit in her pee until it dries, then try to say she didn't have an accident. At home she is accident free, but she does tend to have some moisture in her panties all the time, like she leaks a little. Is this a physical problem? Or behavioral? She doesn't get in 'trouble' when she pees her pants, so I don't understand the lieing. I have tried rewards, and I have tried taking things away, but nothing seems to work. Please help.
