Maids leaving, child is attached

Hi we live in Mexico and have two maids at home who live with us (house is big). My almost four year old boy gets really attached to them because they play with him and entertain him when I´m out of home or even if I´m home while giving baby sister a bath or something. The problem is this women get jobs and don´t take they seriously. yThey´re supposed to give notice when leaving, but we´ve had about 5 different people in the last 2 years who won´t even say goodbye. They just don´t come back after their free weekends. The last maid we had my son really loved her and she just left, won´t even answer her cell phone. Besides my son suffers from separation anxiety, which makes matters worse because every maid/nanny he likes just leaves. I don´t know how to keep him from attaching, he considers them as family and they just respond like this. This is a common practice amongst all of the maids here in Mexico, I don´t know how to keep my son from hurting. This maid had worked here for 5 months.

Thank you, I am the mom. It´s me who writes all the time. I love the advice "make yourself the main person looking after him " I think this will work. I´ll let you know.

PS I thought you were the mom I see you are the Dad ... the same is applicable .. the seperation anxiety is because he needs his parents aroung more so you be the caregivers between you and use the help in between ....your children will be happier ...and trust me they grow very quickly ..

This does happen ,I am not saying they will be better but have you considered an Au Pair from Europe there are agencies ,my other thought is that it is possible your 4 year old is feeling some jealousy over the new baby sister I would suggest to you that he gets some qualitity one to one time with you and his dad, in fact get Dad involved a lot lt them do some guy' things let the help look after Baby ..and then you can also play with him more .make your self the main person looking after him and let the maids help you.Advertise for a Nanny with an agency they usually charge but you will get someone who may stay longer if they come from another country, and pay them a good wage ,that'll keep em ....
