delayed puberty

my son is 14 y/o. He will be 15 on september the 19th. He is 5' 3" about 105lbs. He is showing no signs of puberty (i.e. no pubic, axillary or facial hair). His friends are all going through the change and there is a noticeble difference in height, wide shoulders etc. Do I need to take him to an endocrinologists now or give it some time. I had a delayed puberty (14). Family history is a part of it.

Thx

Lisa

I was a late bloomer, I didn't go through puberty till I was almost 17. It is a guy thing in my family. I wouldn't stress it, he will hit puberty when its time. It ***** when ur friends are going through it and ur not, but he will catch up!

Hi, seeing as though you have a family history of late puberty, and counting the fact he is male, i'd assume thats it. if In a years time, as he is approaching 16, these changes havne't occured, i'd consider taking him to see a specialist.
