extremes of behaviour - daughter - 2 years

I am a mother of two children - son- 5 Yrs & daughter  2 Yrs.
From her early days my daughter shows extremes of behaviour like at one moment she will be quiet and oving and very next moment she will show all tantrums.
In her anger she bangs her head on the floor/walls. When we try to stop - she is restless. We try to deviate her attention - how ever rarely it happens.
What do you suggest to tackle her?

I have a daughter that turned 3 in july. She talks back, interrupts when me and other adults are talking, throws herself around for no apparent reason and especially when were in public screams back at me when I simply try and talk to her or calm her down to prevent her from screaming. And since she was born she has slept in the same bed as me (I am not with her father, she doesn't know who he is) recently iv tried to get her to sleep in her own bed but at least 5 or 6 times a night she will scream but will seem to be asleep??? Are all these thing normal or should I be worried? I'm starting to lose my mind with all of this!

My son is the same way and he is 19 months. He hits his head on anything closest to him no matter what it is. He also likes to hit himself. He is so self destructive and i dont know what to do. I dont care what anyone says... this is NOT normal for our children to be doing. I have never seen a child do this yet! What i found useful with my son which might sound dumb but its what works for us is most of his fits are in the kitchen so we keep a bouncy ball in the kitchen which he loves playing with and when he has a fit we usually divert his attention to that.

Let her be. Ignore the tantrum episodes - intervening will not be useful. This sort of behavior in a two-year-old is normal.
