Is my 2 year old telling the truth about being molested?

My husband and I have taught our daughter that no one ( but mommy, daddy and grandma) is aloud to touch her privates. For the past couple days she has been telling me that her grandma's nephew has been touching her and she will point to the parts that's shes talking about. But when i ask her about it all she does is hug me, and just doesn't want to talk about it, Which raised a red flag for me. I googled signs to look for and she hasn't shown any of the signs, and i asked her grandma if she has ever mentioned it to her and she said that she hasn't and i'm probably just being over-protective as both my husband and I were molested. But i can't just not think about. SO i need to know how to tell if she is telling me the truth.

I agree I would not take a chance. Take her to the Dr. right away, and get the police involved.

You need to have your daughter evaluated by a mental health professional.  That individual can be instrumental in sorting out these issues.  Please keep in mind that professionals like therapists, are mandate reports, meaning that if they suspect child abuse, they will need to report it to CPS or the police.  However, the therapist would be equipped to provide you and your daughter help with this issue.

I guess I would assume she is telling you the truth and keep her from her grandma's nephew.  You might not be right, but what if it is true?
