strong imagination

SS2
my 8 yr daughter makes imaginary friends and movies about pokemon and God.she is intelligent but does not like to study. She  shares all her stories with me. She has recently been diagnosed with amblyopia and wears specs now. I think She started this behaviour of day dreaming after my separation from my husband after a violent marriage. How can I stop this behaviour wich may turn self destructive later on as she will seek relief in imaginary world only. How can i channelize her energy?

You can't do much about it, nor would I suggest you try. The behavior is not going to be destructive. Should she retreat too much into her fantasy life it could well be a problem, but not desctructive. It would make sense right now to have her evaluated by a mental health clincian for the purpose of investigating the extent to which the fantasy life is a problem and the extent to which it is associated with the experiences in the family.
