My 7 year old son kissing another boy.

So I was told by my girlfriend's daughter who is 9 that my son and her brother were just kissing. After questioning my son he said he had kissed him because he sees my girlfriend and i kissing. And his mom kissing her boyfriend. And said he was a friend so thats why he kissed him. What should my girlfriend should do. We explained the difference in our relationship then their relationship. But not sure what we should do? Do we not hangout when we have our kids?
