15 months not taking commands - MRI shows hippocampis problem, related?

Our kid has some seizures on 12th month and 14th month so we took her to a neurologist for an MRI.  The neurologist observed a slightly smaller size left hippocampis (than the right) and said it's likely the cause or result of the few seizure episodes she had.  Our kid is observed to have cognitive delay, she never respond to our "bye bye", "wave hands", nor pointing or following your pointing, nor giving you what she has when you asked, no mimick no copying, etc.  Though all her interaction with people look good, just that she doesnt like taking any command.

I'd like to hear advices whether such "slight in size" could be a reason for this cognitive delay, and if there's anything we can do to help her hippocampis thing develop so she would grow herself out of it?

By the way we are on keppra to suppress her seizure.

Grateful to hear any advices / experiences.....
