Abnormal misalignment

This is an abnormal misalignment even for my chiropractor. Today I got my results from the X-rays for my spine, and we noticed something weird going on. My left leg is shorter than my right but the spine is shifting to the left. He wants to do a lift for it, but he doesn't know if it will hurt it or make it better. So here is my question: Do you know why this is happening and how to fix it correctly, if possible?

I'm sorry, I meant the other way. My doctor says its supposed to go toward the shorter leg, but mine went toward the longer leg. That is what I tried to say.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
I'd have to see the films to give an assessment of what I think is happening.

I'm unaware of any "rule" that says the spine shifts to the same side as a sort leg. The fact is, our spines are designed to compensate -- this can happen in a variety of different ways.

As a general rule of thumb, however, I'm not a fan of heel lifts. I think they're beneficial when a congenital structural deficit is evident, but functionally speaking, I do not believe they're of long-term/corrective value.
