My 92 year old mother has taken cholesterol medication since she was 40.  She has never weighed more than 125 lbs and is about 5'4".  She only eats turkey, vegies and fruit.

I was told yes by my doctor. My father had high cholesterol was 6" and never weighed more than 155. My cholesterol has been high since my early 20's when all I ate was salad :). The positive is it is the good cholesterol that makes my total high.
