How fast would extreme levels of cholesterol harden in the blood?

Hello, I was just wondering something. I have been on a diet for 6 months. The diet itself, at first, wasn't bad. But i kind of slipped into an unprecedented level of saturated fat and cholesterol.

I am 21 and male.

For about 6 months (estimated) my average cholesterol (also estimated) was probably anywhere from 50-200mg daily. But i worry that i may have had some bouts that may have risen me to 300-400mg on some days and, at worst, 500. Accompanied wirh an average of 6-24g saturated fat to, on the days i spiked, 32-40g to as much as 48g of saturated fat. This is also considering that I didnt take in all these mg, g of cholesterol and fat all at once, but over time during the day.

I understand that it normally takes many years for significant build up to occur from high cholesterol, but I fear that i may have been going too high on some days.. Do any of you think that this warrants getting some tests done?

I had an episode the other day that I believe may have been a panic attack. It didn't happen suddenly, but over time I think I scared myself into having those symptoms. I can't afford tests at this very moment, but looking for peace of mind. Regardless, please answer honestly.

It's lengthy, but here is what i wrote on my panic attack, if you care to read and see if it matches anything anyone else here has experienced..

Relax, you're doing fine. All the hype about cholesterol and saturated fat has stressed us unnecessarily. More recently, the medical authorities have finally come clean on the fact that saturated fat is not bad for you and might actually fight inflammation.

Plaque build-up in blood vessels only occurs if there is a significant level of inflammation present. Cholesterol is like a band-aid which covers up lesions in the vessels. Inflammation comes mostly from high sugar intake, rather than high fat intake. The best way to fight it is to eat fruit, veggies, olive oil, berries, nuts, and to go easy on sugar, bread, pasta. And to exercise.

You are 21! Be happy, smell the flowers, love, and relax.

I was also eating a lot of the same food, so I don't believe that my HDL was within a good range.. unless the body also makes some naturally.
