Since taking med and watching diet my cholesterol

For many, fighting cholesterol with medication is indeed a lifelong situation.  Typically when someone begins medication, they've already tried to control it through diet and exercise and other lifestyle changes.  You certainly can increase physical activity to raise your hdl which balances the bad cholesterol. Speak to your doctor to see what is best for you.  We wish you the best of health.

Its best to consult your primary care provider or a dietitian. Drastic changes to a diet and increased physical activity can lower you LDL levels and maintain them without meds. Avoiding processed meats, saturated fats, shell fish and other high LDL foods goes a long way. But it is best to talk to your doctor before making any medication changes.

I don't think you can stop unless you have drastically changed your diet and have eliminated all spicy foods and intake of salt! Most people like me who like spicy food will raise the LDL levels when we stop taking the cholesterol medication... :(
