new;looking for advice

Hi I'm new here.My husband has borderline cholesterol issues and also is pre diabetic.

Any advice on cookbooks or advice in general?

Another thought... I had to really turn my diet around about twelve years ago and my insurance covered meetings with a dietician.  I learned the basics of controlling colesterol and diabetes, which I think is a step one should take before committing to a cookbook diet.  
I lost 50 pounds over the twelve year period by following the Mediterranean diet, but I had to learn the basics first..

Welcome and thanks for your question. The South Beach Diet is a good option. I prefer the Mediterranean Diet as it is high in plant sterols and good fats and has been proven to lower cholesterol levels.
