I am being treated for CFS

I am currently being treated for CFS with a medication called Modafinil. It’s the one medication that’s a stimulant, that’s not in the same class as Adderall or Ritalin with a very low abuse potential. It helps out a lot, but I feel while it is helping it does damage as well considering you get used to the medication and the CFS is 100 times worse then when it started.

My question is this : What medical procedures are done to rule out it being an underlying medical condition ?

I know my lack of activity, poor diet for a while and not drinking enough water leads to it as well. I’ve had some extensive next level blood work done to rule out a lot of medical conditions. I literally can fall asleep while typing this !  Any suggestions?  No idea where to get a sleep study.

How are things going?  Are you feeling any better? So often chronic fatigue is related to mental health things. Nutrition can definitely play a role though in lethargy.  A good lab work up looking for the deficits that would cause this can be helpful.  Here's some treatment info on the disorder. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/chronic-fatigue-syndrome/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20360510
