Am I Overreacting?

I've been having what I believe are the tell-tale signs of chronic fatigue syndrome for about a month now. It's progressing really quickly, and I want to get it stopped, now. I have: excessive fatigue, can't stay awake for more than 12-14 hours, muscle weakness, brain fog, aching/restless muscles, unable to regulate my body temperature (always too hot or too cold), and irritability. I also have multiple food sensitivities, which is also a telltale sign. My question is, should I go see a doctor? I live in Canada, so I would have to be referred to see a specialist, and I won't get in to see my family doctor until June. I don't want to put extra strain on the health system if I didn't need to. Am I overreacting? Or could this be something more serious?

That's how my CFS started. For my 21st birthday I got Glandular Fever and basically just never got over it. When diagnosed my gp gave me a weeks sicknote lol. After the week I went back as still in a bad way and my gp said "The symptoms you describe can go on for months but you have to go back to work some time". Then she gave me a further 4 days!!!!

CFS is a condition diagnosed by rulling out everything else. You need to see your GP and get bloods, urine test etc done to see what else could be going on. Don't delay but unlikely to get CFS diagnosis after 1 month but if you get to at least 3 and other tests are clear push for a proper diagnosis. I was palmed off for 17 years so don't let that happen to you. The earlier the diagnosis the better the prognosis.
