Blood Pressure is Low?

I went to the groc store and took my blood pressure. It was 102 over 52.  Am I dead yet!  I am wondering if this is why I cannot sleep at night? Does anyone know if blood pressure is related to copd and if so, is it bad?

I have had low blood pressure all my life, as does the rest of my family (about 100/60). In my case COPD has not affected it al all, except that albuterol raises it a little. I have never felt dizzy, passed out, or anything else. I guess the question for you is whether you have always had low blood pressure, or if it is a recent development.

I think I may have figured it out! I have been taking anti anxiety meds due to quitting smoking, and one of the side effects is lower blood pressure! Hmmm, so I wonder why they dont give people with hi blood pressure anti anxiety drugs! They would be much happier people with low blood pressure! lol

Hey there!  I  know when my mom tried to cut down and stop smoking her blood pressure went thru the roof.  It happens everytime she tries to quit.  She is already on bp medication so that isn't the answer for her.

I know you quit smoking so I don't know if maybe your blood pressure is trying to deal with the loss of nicotin.  I'd call and ask your dr.
