Do I need to get second opinion I have califcation on my lungs

I had a chest x-ray and the doctor found califcation on my lungs I was wondering if I need to go to another Dr and get it checked out I also have COPD

In most cases, calcifications in the lungs are sequela of prior remote infection, inflammation, or other insult. Can you provide the exact wording on the imaging report? If it said something like calcified granulomas, that is nothing to worry about. It is probably a good idea to clarify with your doctor. If he or she feels further tests are warranted, CT chest can help to further characterize. Pulmonary nodules with diffuse, central, laminated, and popcorn calcifications are benign, typically seen in granulomatous disease and hamartomas. Other patterns of calcification are indeterminate.
