ICU complication
My friend had an PTE (Pulmonary Thromboendarterectomy) Surgery last monday. Since he came out of surgery he has been put in induced coma and on a ventilator his oxygen level is low and his lung is operating at a 23% capacity.. doctors think that he might developed infection and are giving him antibiotics for the past 3 days. My question is will his lung be able to improve and start working at a higher capacity?
