Is balloon treatment an real treatment?

I am 15 years old and diagnosed with COLD(Chronic Obstructive Lung Diseases). I know its uncurable but there is a proffessor called Yalçın Karakoca in my country which says there is a cure of COLD and it's done by a ballon which he designed. His papers are on research gate. Could you examine his research to know whether he is a fraud or not. Please, I am literally depressed since COLD's avarage life expectancy is 5 years. I want to learn every kind of option for me to get rid of that disease.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  Thank you for your question.  COLD which is really usually called COPD or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is quite rare in teenagers.  What are your symptoms that led to this diagnosis?  Again, this is typically a disease state found in older adults.  There is something called Alpha-1 Anti-trypsin Deficiency or Alpha 1 for short that you may want to look into. Also, were you previously diagnosed with asthma? Medical management is the typical route for treating COPD.  https://www.webmd.com/lung/copd/what-are-treatments-for-copd#1  When you talk about 'balloon treatment' are you referring to the practice of bronchoscopic therapy?   https://www.mayoclinic.org/medical-professionals/pulmonary-medicine/news/bronchoscopic-lung-volume-reduction-therapy-approved-for-severe-emphysema/mac-20451514   This is used for patients with emphysema for example.
