Nasal Cannula's and tubing

I am in stage #4 of copd. I am on oxygen 24/7. All chemicals and smells bother me terribly. There is really nothing that does not bother me.The plastic smell in the cannula's and tubing is very bad for me. Does anyone have this same problem and if so please tell me what you are doing for it. Thanks so very much for any help.

I have the same problem. There are “chemical free” cannulas and tubing. I have read articles referring to these products, but they do not say where to buy them. I am on a quest! When I find a source, I will report back to you. In the meantime, before using a new stinky cannula, air it out for a week or two, in another room.

We are glad you are here at MedHelp and you likely have some valuable things to share.  We are sorry that this is such a difficult quest to find chemical free cannulas!  Doesn't seem like it should be so in this day and age. Have you looked into Teflon tubing?
