inflamatory pulmonary fibrosis lung disease

Last Aug I had chest x-rays and cat scans. Nodules were found and they seem to be growing at a rapid rate. Is this lung disease or lung cancer. Can it be both.

Hi!
It can be either a lung disease or cancer. Multiple lung nodules are seen in sarcoidosis, asbestosis, silicosis, tuberculosis, Hodgkin's disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and lung cancer. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!
