Hallucinating for 6 Days

My sister had liver transplant one week ago today. She's hallucinating and delusional 24/7 for 6 days. She's not slept at all post surgery. They've given her given her many different things to make her sleep but no sleep to be had. Also her white blood cell count continues to rise, 12.5 to 16.2 overnight.  Urine test show no infection. No fever. CT shows brain is fine. The doctors keep telling us this is normal but nurses say they've never seen anything like this. What can be going on?

Thanks in advance.

Hi I am thinking about you and your sister.  I have no idea if this will help however here goes.
When my grandmother would have surgery, her blood pressure would go sky high, nothing the doctors or nurses did brought it down.  The only thing that worked was for one of her daughters to sit with her, speak softly comforting words, stroking her brow.  As they did this her blood pressure would go down.  I hope you see this. You can try to google this, I only looked for hallucinations after liver transplant and came across this.

Immediately after a liver transplant surgery some patients may become confused, agitated, and paranoid, with hallucinations and difficulty speaking. This is called delirium or acute brain dysfunction.

Treatment of delirium after a liver transplant includes keeping you safe. A nursing aide may sit with you until you think clearly; soft wrist restraints may be used to prevent pulling intravenous catheters and drains. Medications such as Seroquel, Zyprexa, and Haldol are frequently used to calm your brain and restore clear thinking.

Hi there, I agree with Lynn the doctors need to help.  I know that sometimes when people are placed on narcotics they can hallucinate.  A friend of mine was put on diluidad  (sp?) and she began to hallucinate.  They had to change the pain medication.  Good luck!
