Director of Operations

Can you get bronchitis fronm an odor given off from new ceiling tiles?  I work in a school system and there is one employee who is claiming bronchitis from the small odor.  Keep in mind these tiles do not consist of toxic chemicals and also keep in mind that it is cold season here in Maine and working amongst small children daily can predispose a person to cold & flu.

If you are the director of operations, and this person is your employee, you need to send this person to an occupational health physician who can consider the environment your employee works in and whether or not it contributes to the bronchitis.  Many occupational exposures can lead to a cough, but only a doctor can determine if this is from occupational exposure rather than the cold & flu that's going around where you are in Maine.
