My neck pops when i swallow

So i just got diagnosed with influenza a and when i got home i went into my room made some tea and i noticed everytime i swallow my neck sorta pops, No sound is made but there is a weird popping sensation and mild pain. The only time is has stopped is when i press on my neck where the popping occurs.

I'd see your doctor. Something called 'clicking larynx can cause this.  That is often something that happens after a neck trauma and can happen when someone is swallowing or moving their head.  Got pain in the neck as well?  The trauma is usually a neck injury.  https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/lary.26891  Is it still going on with you?  Is it annoying or painful?
