Stomach virus question

On March 28th I had started feeling bad and had diarrhea twice and felt extremely weak my husband brought me to the ER and when they tried to do my IV they said I was very dehydrated and all the digging around for a vein caused me to vomit but they gave me fluids and zofran and after that I never did again and just felt weak for a couple days. Then three days later on the Friday my husband started vomiting and having diarrhea every 10 minutes or so I brought him in and they gave him the same thing and sent him home. Saturday he had a fever of 102 so I brought him back and they kept him overnight. They did multiple blood tests and stool cultures but all they found was a slightly elevated white blood cell count and his stool culture came back clean so they aren't sure what it was. It's been a week now since he's been better and I've cleaned everything in the house so I was wondering if it was a stomach virus should I be safe from catching it again by now?
