my partner has had cold symptoms for 2 weeks

Hello I hope someone can help my partner has been working night shifts in the field he started with a cold about 2 weeks ago a few days after it seemed to be getting better then he felt worse and his eyes are red, he hasn't been able to get the rest he needs he has been going to work everynight and says the other workers are sick also he has never been sick this long but has never worked nights, in the field and with liitle rest, so can it be something else going on or is the cold sticking around because he's not resting enough? By the way his eyes haven't been red for two weeks maybe 2 days but he says they don't hurt.

Colds can linger on for several weeks especially if you are in a run down
condition from not getting enough rest. Usually the head cold part last a few days and when it settles in the chest the coughing can last for weeks.
