You take your child to their pediatrician, if they say nothings wrong, then you need to call an allergist specialist and have your child tested for any kind of allergies! It doesn't hurt the child, ll they do is take skin samples off your childs back, by wiping it with a thin piece of plastic. They will then place a few allergiens on your childs back to see if anything what your child is allergic to. It's a quick, great way to find out what your child if anything is allegic to, so you can treat them!

With a colld or flu, the child will feel generally unwell, may have a fever and be off their food.  They will complain of aches and pains and will probably want to sleep more and may have a discoloured discharge (any green or yellow discharge is indicative of an infection.)  They may have a cough, complain of earache or sore throat.  Even if the child is off their food, make sure they drink plenty of fluids so that they do not get dehydrated through fever.

With allergic reactions the symptoms can be itchy eyes, runny nose and sneezing, sometimes urticaria or hives (a rash).

A rash with fever should be investigated by a doctor urgently.
