PLEASE HELP

Please help. Ever since I had my second son (via c section) I have had excruciating abdominal pain on and off.

I couldn't even beging to explain it but, I'll try. IT begins with abdomen pain and feeling bloated and pressure. Then I have to go running to the bathroom and there it is either soft stool at first then diharrea  or one or the other. I have never felt this way before and it is scaring me.  Just tonight I had the same problem. I am beging to think I have a knot in something or the Dr. sewed my guts to my stomach or something. I am sorry to be so dramatic but, I cant help what to think. This keeps happening and no one can give me any answers.
I do have poly and psoratic arthritis I have psoraosis on my hands. I've had two c sections with no problems(just big babies!! ha ha). I eat veggies and fruit and I stay away from really spicy or hot things. I am of cuban. Yes I am overweight and highgly stressed at the moment since my husbnad got out of the Army in October 07. I do not know if it is stress or if it is something more serious..

This by far has been the worst of it I have been up all night with chronic bouts of diharrea and NO vomitting. I got over the stomach flu 3 weeks ago so I know that can't be it. I always wash my hands and such so I do not know what to think now.

I am also 5 weeks pregnant with our 3rd child.

I am worried it could be my gallbladder?? I have had my appendix removed when I was 18 yrs. old so I know it cannot be that either.

Any help would be great.

Hi Diane778,
Though most of the symptoms you have mentioned can occur in irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea occuring at night disturbing your sleep in not known to occur in IBS.

I would like to know whether
1. You have weight loss
2. Blood and mucus in stools
3. Volume of stool during each episode
4. Have you undergone colonoscopy?

You need  to have the following tests done -
1. Colonoscopy
2. Motion examination

Since you are 5 weeks pregnant, colonoscopy may not be a good option.
You can do motion test for the time being.

Well I went to the doctor and was seen by a resident doctor.

He told me I could have a form of irritable bowl. He only checked my blood sugar which was 83. He also did a urine test and I have not gotten the results yet. He offered no other explination other than maybe I am stressed. Well no kidding. He did not offer to do ultrasound or anything else other then if this happens again to put my stool in a container he gave me, and bring it to the outpatient lab.

Strangely since my doctors visit I have not had diharrea. It has been solid alot of it and quite frequently. I do not know what to think of this.

Hi,
Motion test just to rule out infection.
Since you get pain which wakes you up in the night,  proper evaluation is needed.
Consult your gastro .

I have some bad news. Last night I Was up all night 3 times with diaharrea. I cannot believe this!. At first I couldn't poop. Solid came out but, I had to force it then diharrea came out alot of it as usual. MY son has an appointment today and when he goes in I am going to schedule something for me and see if they have any time left.

No I do not have blood or mucus in the stool.  No weight loss here just weight gain. The volume of stool is alot. Sometimes as if I went to the bathroom three times in one sitting.

I was constipated the other day. Then yesterday 1-06-2008 I had solid poop then soft mushy after it. I had to wait a long time for it to come out which is unusal. It took me about 30 mnutes and I was finally done. Sorry to be so descriptive. This has never happend to me before I use to go and go solid and that was it in and out of the bathroom. Now it takes me 20 and 30 minutes and I get that same stomach pain that wakes me up at night. I wait in the bathroom and boom there it is. I wonder if it is all of our stress?. I can't help to think that it may be something serious. I waill talk to my doctor about a motion test. what is that by the way?.  Before I forget Thank You for all of your help.
