Pelvic pain, blood in stool, change in bowel movements

I am started having cramping/pelvic pain the last month and noticed a little bit of blood in my stool.  I had a colonoscopy 4 years ago and had no polyps.  However,  I have noticted more ribbon like stools, constipation, and diarrhea off and on for the last 6 months. I changed my diet but have noticted that nothing has gotten better.  I have lost some weight but don't know if it's due to stress.  They already ruled out gynelogical reasons.  I'm going to see my PCP tomorrow about this issue, but she didn't seem concerned about it last month.  Could it just be hemmorhoids due to lifting so much weight this month, or could it be colon cancer because I have had fatigue and bowel movement changes for the last 6 months?  I thought that colon cancer was supposed to be slow growing.
