Hi, I was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy about 11 years ago, and at the time when I went to the ER, whether I told them, or they tested me for drugs, I did have drugs in my system. I havent done drugs since then, and have been going to same hospital (cardiology clinic) ever since. Its recently came to my attention that every medical paper pertaining to me from their (11 years worth), states Cardiomyopathy due to drugs,,, I would like to have this removed from my medical records, as they have no proof this is what caused my heart problems, They never tested me for any virus or anything, they just assumed this. Seeing this was so humiliating, and everytime I go there they continue to ask me if im still doing drugs, no matter how many times I tell them no. My question is, I can have this removed from my medical records, right? Isn't this a HIPPA issue? Thanks in advance for any advice anyone could give,
