I do my health check up annually. My lipid profile test comparisons from last year is as follows:
TC 186->168, Serum Triglycerides 355->536,HDL 32->30, LDL 92->64, VLDL 71 to 107.2. Average Blood Sugar 108->105. My BMI 24.1, Age 42 years. I am a non smoker, occasionally take alcohol (about 60 ml in 2/3 weeks.
I was worried about high Triglyceride level. Doctor has prescribed me Storfib 145. I have started exercising 20/30 min a day and have began eating plenty of fruits and raw vegetables, cut down non vegetarian food (stopped red meat). I have been doing this for last two weeks. I have noticed that when I go for motion, i have minor lower abdominal pain and motion is not so clear.
My question: Is this normal? Should I take any other medicines?When should I repeat Lipid profile again. Is 536 triglycerides is in dangerous level and should I do anything else? Please advise.
