Hi Kitty, I called the docs office today to get that cleared up in my mind. They said it was moderate, but they cannot do anything until it becomes serious. I asked "what causes this?" The nurse said "we don't know for sure, could be age (as some people get older they get this -leaky valves- or it could be heart disease." I just joined the YMCA and they told me I should get checked out to make sure I am in good health to exercise. Believe me I have been getting checked out in many ways, but if they don't tell you how are you to know if the treadmill is ok, weights, inversion table or what. I;m confused. :-) but I'm still smiling,ya gotta keep smiling and I don't think I'm that old.
Hi Joyce, It just tells you whether your regurgitation is mild, moderate or severe. I think over 30 is moderate and over 50 is severe, but I am not sure. If it is mild it might not be significant unless you have certain symptoms. I only know this because I checked into it myself. Mine was 28 mm Hg, and the cardiologist said he wished he had my echo results. I was really worried at first because it sounds so serious. Not to say I would know anything about your particular situation. Good luck to you.
No, I do not know. I have not heard of a regurgitaion jet meansurement, but this is a good time to know about it as I need to call the dr. for a wound check and I can pose that question. Thanks. What does it mean?
do you know what you regurgitation jet measurement was?
