chf and heart transplant

I have severe global hyperkinesis with 20% ejection fraction.  I am only 53 years and otherwise in good health.  Since the mortality rate is so high for someone with my diagnosis, why does my cardiologist  say that I am not a candidate  for a heart transplant?

I know from experience that not all cardiologists know everything. If you want an honest opinion about a heart transplant, then you need to go to one of the better transplant hospitals and get a factual opinion from them. I was transplanted (heart) at Cleveland Clinic and have met many, many patients that were misdiagnosed by their cardiologists.

Get your medical records in order and start contacting the better programs in the country .... Cleveland Clinic, Mayo, Baylor, Columbia, UCLA and many others.

You HAVE to be proactive.

I wish you the best!
