We all have veins in our necks. Can you explain a little more what you are concerned about?
Hi,
Neck veins can provide valuable diagnostic information about your cardiopulmonary status. The right internal jugular vein in particular is very important. Jugular venous pressure reflects right ventricular filling pressure of the heart, and it remains the most reliable means of estimating central venous pressure or cardiac function. Are there other symptoms present? Distended neck veins could be due to cardiopulmonary causes such as heart failure, pericardial effusion, or pericarditis. It is best that you have this evaluated by your doctor for proper diagnosis and management.
Take care and regards.
